Context and methodology

  • This research dataset was created in a project on ion-surface collisions in collaboration with the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf
  • This dataset provides the raw data, structured data, and codes to create the data provided in the publication
  • The raw experimental data was created with a self-built electrostatic analyzer
  • The raw modelling data was created using Matlab

Technical details

  • The files Abb_x_x.dgraph contain the data necessary to create the corresponding figures in the publication. The software DataGraph is needed to read and write these files.
  • The cross section.nb files contains quick calculations on the scattering cross section for the experimental conditions.
  • The file graphen_potential_Hollow_KrC.m creates a plot for the KrC potential used
  • The files output-file-NstabX-NcoreX-NcapX-QinXX-stretchXX.png show results for the calculated potentials using the values Nstab=X, Ncore=X, etc.
  • The files a_XXX.txt have no column headers. They are to be read as: First Column: Interatomic Distance, Second Column: Value of potential in eV. The XXX denotes the parameters used according to 10.1038/s42005-019-0188-7
