Description

Context and methodology

This dataset contains the source data for all figures of the article "Early age aggregation mechanisms of alkali-activated slag particles" by T. Liberto, P. Carmona, O. Ojeda-Farías, B. Costa, M. C. Dalconi, A. Robisson and P. Hébraud. The research belongs to the field of soft matter and cementitious materials, specifically the early-age aggregation of alkali-activated slag (AAS) particles.

The data combine four techniques: multispeckle diffusing wave spectroscopy (MSDWS: normalized intensity correlation functions g2, relaxation-time distributions P(τ), fast/slow relaxation times τ and amplitudes A); small-amplitude oscillatory shear (SAOS: storage modulus G′ with standard deviations); in situ X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD, Cu Kα: intensity vs. 2θ and vs. scattering vector q, and normalized low-angle intensity vs. time); and particle size distribution. Datasets labelled "CCPCE" and "noCCPCE" refer to pastes mixed with the CaCl₂ + PCE  solution and with distilled water, respectively. Sample preparation and measurement protocols are described in the Materials and methods section of the article.

Technical details

One HDF5 file per figure; groups correspond to figure panels (a, b, c, ...). Units: time in s, G′ in Pa, 2θ in degrees, q in Å⁻¹, diameters in µm. The full list of groups and datasets is given in FilesDescriptor.pdf. HDF5 is open and platform-independent (HDFView, Python/h5py, MATLAB, R); no proprietary software required.
