Context and methodology

• This dataset was created in the fields of atmospheric science and mass spectrometry.
• It contains the numerical data underlying Figures 3–6 and Supplementary Figures S1–S4 of the associated publication “Insufficient mass spectrometric detection of synthesized peroxy acids from α-pinene ozonolysis”.
• The data were obtained from NMR and Orbitrap mass spectrometric measurements of peroxy acids and their corresponding carboxylic acids.

Technical details

• The ZIP archive contains the folders main_figures and supplementary_figures. Each CSV filename identifies the corresponding figure or panel.
• The chromatogram CSV files contain unsmoothed extracted-ion signals. For visualization, the signals were processed in Python using a trailing 30-observation rolling arithmetic mean, with at least one valid observation required per window. For these data, 30 observations correspond to approximately 12 seconds. NA denotes a missing or undefined value; in ratio columns, it occurs when the denominator is zero or unavailable.
