Description

TU-Chimney 2023

This dataset comprises (cleaned) point clouds (in .pts format) as well as tachymetric measurement data in ASCII format acquired in July and August 2023. The objective of the data acquisition constituted in the monitoring of an inoperative industrial chimney located at the Campus Arsenal of TU Wien in Vienna, Austria. Multiple epochs were acquired throughout 2 separate measurement days (21 August 2023 and 28 July 2023). 

The data are cleaned. The epochs are registered and the files are named in order to allocate them correctly to the respective acquisition epoch. 

The dataset contains five measurement epochs comprising TLS data and raw data from tachymetric measurements (in .txt format) used for registration.
The network measurements have to following Format: 

Format#1: Station;Target;Target height;Direction;Vertical Angle;Slope Distance; Time stamp;X;Y;Z;

Format#2: Station; Target;Direction; Vertical Angle; Slope Distance;X;Y;Z;

The .txt Files are built for column-based insertion in JAG3D (https://software.applied-geodesy.org/de/) - an open source software for geodetic network adjustment.
