Context and methodology
This dataset was created for the bachelor's thesis "Search Interfaces for Digital Libraries". The thesis proposed two new approaches to academic search engines: (1) an improved text-based search engine, and (2) a graph-based search engine. Both proposed approaches were implemented together as a web application prototype and a usability study was conducted. For the usability study, a handful of participants performed a diverse set of search tasks, after which we conducted interviews with the participants.
Technical details
- The transcripts of participant's comments are stored as a plain text document.
