Codebook and Mappings of Urban-Industrial Interfaces in Vienna/Liesing

Context and methodology

• The dataset was created for a paper "Embodied Insights into the Peripheries of Vienna: Mapping Mixed-Use Realities at Contemporary Urban-Industrial Interfaces", which is part of the main author's PhD (Research Department Urban Design, TU Wien; supervisors: Ute Schneider, Angelika Psenner). The paper is about to be submitted into the journal "Urban Research & Practice".
• The purpose of this dataset is to show the full images of the maps used for the coding, and the full codebook, where the snippets from the map images are visible
• The dataset was created by a regular image snipping tool, the images of the maps and the excel file. Snippets from the maps where made and clustered into the excel spreadsheet.

Technical details

• The dataset consists of one excel file (codebook) and nine image files (maps)
• There is no specific software required to open and work with this dataset, only an excel-compatible software and a regular image viewer
